According to McKinsey & Co., Future-ready organizations (and I might add Individuals) focus their resources on 3 key areas: “They get clear on their purpose; know how they create value and why they’re unique; and they create strong and distinct cultures that help attract and retain the best people.”
Why Purpose Matter?

Understanding why you do what you do is critical to optimizing your limited resources—time, money and energy.
That said, seasons of change requires more intentionality and more purpose focus for all. For businesses and individuals alike, purpose is a de facto. More so in times of a crisis. For understanding your why helps you not only communicate to your stakeholders clearly and succinctly but also allows you to make better decisions.
In the last 24 months or so, many of us have had to deal with enormous disruption due to the unrelenting pandemic. Bringing me to ask, how have you been maintaining focus and fortifying yourself from burn out, stress and frustrations?

It is reported that mental health and wellbeing are increasing becoming priorities for businesses.
Despite the fact that over 200 million workdays are lost due to mental health conditions each year ($16.8 billion in employee productivity), mental health remains a taboo subject. In fact, almost 60% of employees have never spoken to anyone at work about their mental health status.
Bringing me to ask, how are you leveraging this information to your advantage? Did you know that by understanding why you want to work at an X, or Y company can be the gap to landing that dream job or pay or flexible schedule?
Just like businesses are having to rethink purpose to manage change, you too are no different. To save energy, time and money, you will need to have a lesser focus view of what you want—clarity of purpose helps you do that consistently and confidently.
Nevertheless, if you want to enjoy a meaningful life, career and or business in an age of chaos and disruptions, embodying intentionality and position yourself accordingly is key.
More so now than ever before when the Employee Experience (EX) is said to be the new currency in a world where qualified talents are had to find.
